Krynica Morska is located on the Vistula Spit and is surrounded by the waters of the Baltic Sea on the one side and the Vistula Lagoon on the other. Such location creates excellent conditions for practicing various water sports, sailing in particular. The yacht marina was modernized as a part of the “Baltic Amber Coast. Development of crossborder area through building up and modernization of tourism infrastructure” project. It is the largest facility of this type in the Vistula Lagoon, well equipped to serve watercraft. Thanks to the special platforms yachts have access to the power supply and fresh water while bilge pumps facilitate disposal of waste. Additionally, the marina offers slip and storage services.
Every year the City Council and the local Yacht Club organise a regatta in the spring and summer seasons. The level of competition is high as the regatta attracts sailors from all over Poland as well as other countries in Europe. The Yacht Club organises also sailing activities for all age groups – children, teenagers and adults.
The excellent conditions, owed to the location of Krynica Morska, facilitate also practising numerous other water sports. The lagoon waters, calmer than the open sea, provide an ideal environment for learning windsurfing or practising kayaking. In summer, windsurfing schools enjoy great popularity; you can learn the basics or perfect your skills under the watchful eyes of experienced coaches. Numerous rental outlets offer equipment and accessories, such as boards, wet suits, kayaks or rowing boats.
Krynica Morska offers also a wide range of activities for those water sports enthusiasts who seek adrenaline rush. You can enjoy exciting trips by fast motorboats or jet-ski in the Baltic Sea as well as in the Vistula Lagoon. You can experience more thrills while waterskiing or parasailing, and a full-of-fun trip on a large banana towed by a motorboat will make many a day more enjoyable.
